Changes to managing parking on our estates

Peabody Filler Default

Our new contract with Parking Control Management Ltd (PCM) begins on 1 January 2021.

We know that it's important to you that parking on our estates is managed effectively, and are committed to providing the best possible service.

After listening to feedback from residents on our parking policy, and consulting with you on our procurement for a new provider, we have entered into a new main parking contract with Parking Control Management Ltd (PCM) to help us keep our estates well-managed and maintained.

PCM currently provide parking management services across a number of Peabody sites, which will automatically move over to the new contract from 1 January 2021.

What’s changing?

  • If you live on a site currently managed by MET Parking:
Our contract with current provider MET Parking will end on 31 December 2020. The estates currently managed by MET will be transferred to PCM from 1 January 2021 as part of a phased plan.
  • If you live on a site currently managed by PCM:
All sites currently managed by PCM will automatically move over to the new contract on 1 January 2021.
  • If you live on a site currently managed by another provider, such as P4Parking:
We have a small number of sites, primarily in Thamesmead, south east London, that are managed by another provider. We also have properties on estates that are not managed or owned by Peabody, and parking may be appointed by a third party managing agent. There are no changes planned for these sites at the moment.
  • If you live on a site with no parking management in place at the moment:
If you currently do not have parking management in place where you live, then these changes will not affect you at this stage. However, if parking management is later introduced where you live (subject to resident consultation) the provider is likely to be PCM.
  • Parking on our estates over Christmas:
Parking enforcement on all our estates is now paused until 1 January 2021.
