Who is my Neighbourhood Manager?
Your Neighbourhood Manager is responsible for managing homes and neighbourhood services in your area.
They can help with things like antisocial behaviour, tenancy issues and estate management.
You can find their contact details on your neighbourhood page.
What is a Heat Interface Unit (HIU)?
A Heat Interface Unit, or HIU, is the equipment in your home that provides heating and hot water. Although it can look similar to a boiler, it forms part of the wider heating network at Fish Island Village. We’re responsible for maintaining and servicing it, so we may occasionally need access to your home to carry out checks or work.
What should I do if I have a problem with my heating or hot water?
Please report problems with your heating or hot water through My Peabody or contact our Customer Care team. If there’s a programme of planned work affecting Fish Island Village, we’ll also provide local updates and contact affected residents directly where needed.
What is an MVHR unit and how do I look after it?
MVHR stands for Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery. Your unit helps ventilate your home, and it’s important to keep it in good condition by cleaning or replacing the filters regularly and following the manufacturer’s servicing instructions. If you have a Zehnder unit, the newsletters also recommend registering it with the manufacturer so they can provide support and service information.
Where can I find updates about major works at Fish Island Village?
We’ll share significant local works and developments through the Fish Island Village noticeboard. Depending on the work involved, we may also contact residents directly by letter, text or email, particularly where access to individual homes is needed. Previous updates have covered heating and hot water, ventilation, communal doors, paving and landscaping.
What is the Fish Island Village Residents Association?
The Fish Island Village Residents Association (FIVRA) gives residents a way to connect with neighbours, raise local issues and share their views about what’s happening in the neighbourhood. It also works with us and other local organisations on matters affecting Fish Island Village.
How can I get involved in the local community?
Look out for events and opportunities on the neighbourhood noticeboard. Previous activities at Fish Island Village have included resident association meetings, neighbourhood events, planting sessions and activities for young people.
Is there a concierge service at Fish Island Village?
Yes. Fish Island Village has a concierge service for residents, alongside the local Neighbourhood team. Check the main neighbourhood page and local notices for the latest information about the service and how to contact the team.
How do I report a problem in a communal area?
If you notice a problem with communal areas, such as an entrance door, paving, grounds or other shared facilities, please report it through My Peabody or contact our Customer Care team. Larger programmes of communal work will be shared through local updates where appropriate. Previous Fish Island Village updates have included work to doors, paving, bollards and landscaping.
