The Sundial Centre is a community space dedicated to providing resources, activities and a space to come together in Tower Hamlets.
Open to the public, the centre offers a timetable of regular sessions, as well as one-off events, rooms for hire and specialised day services for older adults.
The centre aims to cater for all the local community with a full timetable of activities to get involved in, spaces to hire and a café on site. The space is fully accessible, with a built in ramp to access the centre, lift on the first floor and a hearing loop.

On-site café: Enola’s Kitchen
Enola’s Kitchen is a small bistro based in the Sundial Centre. The kitchen serves up fresh, locally sourced food with a changing daily menu. From cakes and toasties to BBQ themed favourites including Korean chicken wings, mac & cheese, beef short ribs and so much more, there’s something for everyone, plus, all their meat is halal.
Ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and the kitchen is also committed to sustainable working practices. This includes using bio-degradable food packaging, and recycling glass and paper.
The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and welcomes well behaved pets.
Enola’s Kitchen is open Fridays and Saturdays, 5pm to 10pm, and Sundays, 11am to 3pm. Visit their website or Instagram page for the latest menu updates and more.

Hiring a room
Whether it’s for games, a community group or a course, the Sundial Centre can help provide a space for you. The Centre has a range of rooms perfect for meetings, activities, and special occasions.
The Sundial Centre is fully accessible and is equipped with a lift on the first floor, a Hearing Loop and WiFi. Catering can be provided by the In-House Café upon request.
Rooms can be hired for as little as £25, with discounts available for voluntary or charitable groups.

Day Services for older adults
The Sundial Centre offers quality day care services Monday to Saturday.
The Centre offers a variety of services aimed at helping older residents maintain their wellbeing and supporting adults with age related conditions and physical disabilities, and moderate learning disabilities to live independently.
We provide:
- Regular and short-term respite care
- Support for people supporting experiencing social isolation, including individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s
- A safe, social environment with engaging activities
- Day care placements a wide range activities and refreshments throughout the day
- Confidentiality - All information we have about you will be kept securely on file and will remain confidential in accordance with Peabody’s policies and the Data Protection Act
Our team and facilities
- Fully equipped assisted bathroom and wet room with easy access
- Two fully adapted wheelchair accessible minibuses to transport customers to and from their home
- Hoists and lifting aids are available for wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility
- Built in ramp at the entrance of the building
- Lift on the first floor
- Hearing Loop
- Staff qualified in trained in dementia care 'Best Practice in Dementia Care' City and Guild Accredited Programme
- A fully trained team with experience supporting vulnerable adults with a range of needs, including mental health needs, mild learning disabilities, age related conditions and physical disabilities.
Prices
The Sundial Centre offers day care places with transport for those who need assistance reaching the centre and returning home, and without transport who can attend the centre without transport provided by us.
Full and half day packages are available, and lunch can be provided our on onsite caterers, for an additional cost.
Fully day places are priced at £60 with transport. The two-course lunch provided by our on onsite caterers is an extra £8 per day.
Referrals - How to start using the Day Care Service
You can refer yourself or be referred by the local authority. A support worker will create a care plan with you to outline your needs and goals.
