Peabody has joined the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge, reinforcing our commitment to making sure everyone has a safe, secure and welcoming place to call home.

Developed by HouseProud and delivered by Stonewall Housing, the pledge brings together housing providers across the UK to improve services and support for LGBTQ+ residents. By signing up, we’re taking another step in our work to create inclusive communities where people feel respected, valued and able to be themselves.

We know that LGBTQ+ people can face additional barriers when accessing housing and services, and that more needs to be done across the sector. Through the pledge, we’ll continue to listen to residents and colleagues, strengthen our understanding of lived experiences, and build this into how we design and deliver our services. This includes raising awareness, supporting our colleagues with training and guidance, and ensuring LGBTQ+ voices help shape the decisions we make.

Joining the pledge builds on the work already underway across Peabody to champion equality, diversity and inclusion. It marks the start of a structured approach to embedding best practice and holding ourselves accountable as we progress. We’ll continue to work with residents, partners and colleagues to make sure our homes and services are places where everyone feels they belong.
