Help keep communal areas clear and tidy

Groupmovingbelongings

We understand that belongings and household items can build up over the festive season with regular waste and recycling collections usually being disrupted at this time.

Before you start any decluttering, please have a think about how you plan to get rid of any unwanted items first. Leaving unwanted items and personal belongings in communal areas can block emergency exit routes, create a fire risk and cause a slipping or tripping hazard. Help keep you and your neighbours safe by keeping these areas clear.

How to dispose of large items

  • Please check in with your local council to find out revised waste collection dates over the festive season
  • Please don’t overload communal bin stores as this can cause problems for your refuse collection team and be unpleasant for your neighbours
  • If you want to dispose of bulky items, you’ll need to contact your local council to check if they provide a bulk item pick up service
  • Check your local refuse and recycling centre for what they will let you take before you go.

What to do if you see any items left where they shouldn’t be

We check all communal areas in our buildings regularly, but if you see any items left lying around, please contact us to let us know.
