Today we launch our Reimagining Older Peoples' Housing: Discovery Project report.

Across 2024-25, we carried out research into our Older Peoples’ Services to find out what was working well and what we could improve on. 330 residents across Later Living communities provided valuable insight which has been developed into 18 recommendations.

A key recommendation focused on the way we refer to ‘older people’ in our service name, so we have reflected this in the terms we use in this area: 

• ‘Older Peoples Services’ is now ‘Later Living’
• ‘Schemes’ are now ‘Later Living Communities’
  • ‘Later Living with Care Communities’ for those living in Extra Care; and
  • ‘Later Living Homeownership Communities’ for our homeowner spaces

All 18 recommendations are now part of a three-year workplan and will drive future service developments for Peabody and Town & Country Housing Later Living.
