Checking in this winter
Over the next few months, we'll be visiting some of our residents to check in and see how things are.

We’ll let you know if and when we’re popping in. Please do open the door when we knock and let us know if there’s anything we can do to help. We’ll show you ID so you know it’s us.
What are winter wellbeing visits?
Every winter, our colleagues visit residents aged 75 and over to make sure their homes are warm, comfortable and safe as the colder weather arrives.
Your local housing team will manage the visits in your area. Your Neighbourhood Manager will send you a letter to let you know when we’ll be in your area.
If you'd like us to visit you at specific time, please let us know online or call us on 0300 123 3456.
What happens when we visit?
We won’t take up too much of your time. It’s a short, friendly chat to make sure everything’s okay and to find out if you need any help with, for example, repairs, heating or household bills.
During the visit, we’ll:
- Check your heating is working properly
- Talk through any support or advice you might need
- Make sure we have the right contact details for you
- Remind you who your Neighbourhood Manager is and how to contact them
If you’re not home when we visit, we’ll leave you a note so you can get in touch to arrange another time.
Always ask for identification
All our colleagues carry Peabody ID badges. Please make sure you ask to see it when we knock. If you’re unsure, our colleague will be happy to wait or come back another time while you call our Contact Centre to check.
