More than 200 people enjoyed an afternoon of music, dancing, and lively entertainment. The event featured performances, including a dance performance from Let’s Go Southall with many centre members and guests joining in the dancing.
Tea and traditional snacks were served, followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch. The centre also recognised 13 volunteers who helped with the delivery of activities.
Sukh Sandher, Southall Day Centre Manager, said: “The Diwali event is always one of the highlights of our year, and it was wonderful to see the hall filled with people celebrating and connecting. Diwali holds special importance for many in our Asian community, and we’re proud to support an event that honours tradition and brings people together.
“Our day centre plays a key role in this. It gives people a welcoming place to socialise, take part in activities and exercise, and look after their mental and physical wellbeing. Events like this truly show how much the centre means to the people who use it.”
