Question 4. Do you want to move because you believe you are short by two bedrooms or more and are therefore overcrowded?
If you’re not sure how this is calculated, there’s more information below:
|People in the household||Number of bedrooms required|
|A single adult||1 bedroom (or a bedsit/studio flat)|
|Two adults living together but not as a couple||2 bedrooms|
|Two adults living together as a couple, with no children||1 bedroom|
|A couple or single person with one child||2 bedrooms|
|A couple or single person with two children. Those children are the same gender||2 bedrooms|
|A couple or single person with two children. Those children are not the same gender||3 bedrooms|
|A couple or single person with three or more children.
This could mean:
• All the children are under 10 and share 1 bedroom and/or
• Any children of the same gender share 1 bedroom and/or
• Any children of different genders get 1 bedro om each
|Between 2 and 4 bedrooms, depending on the age
and gender of the children
Based on this information here, are you overcrowded by two bedrooms or more?
