Looking after your home matters to us. Every five years, we carry out a condition survey of your home to assess its overall condition. This condition survey helps us plan for necessary repairs and future improvements like new kitchens, bathrooms and windows.

When it’s time for your next condition survey, we’ll send you a letter with the suggested date and time for our visit. The surveyor you meet may be one of our dedicated colleagues or from a partner organisation. They’ll show you their ID, and if you’d like to check who they are, they’ll wait while you call us.

If you’re a leaseholder or shared owner, we won’t condition survey the inside of your home. However, we’ll check the outside of your building and any shared areas to make sure everything is in good condition.

FAQs

What if I can’t be home for my appointment? Can I rebook?

Please call us on 020 3828 4239. We’ll help you choose a new date.

How long does a survey take?

It depends on your home. Most surveys take 30 minutes to one hour.

Can you give me a fixed appointment time?

Our surveys take place Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. We can’t offer fixed times or weekend visits.

What will the surveyor inspect?

The surveyor will check key parts of your home, such as your kitchen, bathroom, windows and doors. They’ll take photos of these areas so we can keep accurate records.

What areas of my home will the surveyor need access to?

They’ll need to enter every room and any outdoor spaces like a garden or balcony.

They’ll also check cupboards, especially those with heating or electrical systems.

What if I don’t want the surveyor to enter a certain room?

If the surveyor can’t access a room, we may not be able to complete the condition survey.

We may then need to book another visit.

My neighbour has been contacted, but I haven’t received a letter. Why?

Every home has its own condition survey date. If you haven’t heard from us, there’s no need to worry. We’ll contact you when your home is due for a condition survey.

Why did I receive a text message? Is it genuine?

If you have an upcoming appointment, we may text you a reminder two working days beforehand.

We also send text messages for our condition survey to ask for your feedback.

All genuine messages from us are sent only from 07455 741 233.
