From 27 November until the end of January 2024, we'll be visiting residents aged 75 and over as part of our annual winter wellbeing visits.

What are winter wellbeing visits?

We want to make sure your home is warm and comfortable. Every winter, Peabody colleagues visit residents aged 75 and over to check they're warm and well as the colder weather arrives.

Your local housing team will be managing the visits in your neighbourhood. Your Neighbourhood Manager will send you a letter to let you know when we'll be in your area. If you'd like us to visit you at specific time, please contact us  on 0300 123 3456.

What happens when we visit?

We won't take up too much of your time. It's a friendly chat to make sure you're okay and find out if there's anything you need help with, such as getting repairs done or support with paying your bills.

During the visit, we'll:

  • Check your heating to make sure it's working correctly.
  • Discuss any additional help, support or advice you may need.
  • Check we have the correct contact details for you.
  • Make sure you know who your Neighbourhood Manager is and how to contact them.

Please don't feel you have to wait for us. If you're not home when we visit, we'll leave you a note so you can get in touch to arrange another time for us to call.

Always ask for identification

All our colleagues carry Peabody ID badges with them, so please make sure you ask to see it when we knock. If you're unsure, they'll be happy to wait or come back another time if you'd like to call our contact centre to check.
