About this event

Join the South Bank and Waterloo Sustains Us team for a step-free walkabout of Waterloo East, including Cons Street, Greet Street, Windmill Walk and surrounding areas.

This event is open to residents, businesses and community partners who want to help shape a greener, more climate-resilient neighbourhood.

The walk will explore ways to make Waterloo East greener and better prepared for heavier rainfall and surface water flooding linked to climate change. Local knowledge is essential, and the team we would love to hear your ideas.

What to expect:

  • Share what you value in the area
  • Discuss planting and greening opportunities
  • Explore ideas for safer, more welcoming streets
    Help shape early design concepts
  • This walkabout is part of a wider project led by South Bank and Waterloo Sustains Us, which is investigating nature-based solutions such as rain gardens, tree pits and other sustainable drainage systems.
  • If you cannot attend in person, you can still share your views via the contact form
