How we offer help and guidance.

Our Tenant and Family Support Team (TFST) offers support and advice to tenants and families at risk of losing their tenancy — or who need some extra support to manage that tenancy successfully. The team works in conjunction with other agencies and support is tailored to individual or family circumstances.

Accessing the TFST

Referrals are accepted via:

  • self-referral
  • from a Peabody employee
  • from a third party

To make a referral, please call us on 020 3828 4491. Please note: each case is treated confidentially, in line with Peabody’s vulnerable residents, privacy and confidentiality and communication needs policies.

Next steps

Once you’ve been referred, you’ll be allocated a support worker who will visit you in your home to make a full assessment of your housing and support needs. You may be:

  • asked about any tenancy problems
  • asked what support needs you may have
  • offered advice around budgeting 

Together, you can then agree an action plan to find solutions to the problems you’re facing. They will work with you for a limited period of time and, when the support is in place, we’ll close the case.
