Big turnout for Job Fair in Hackney
Over 1,200 jobseekers attended our Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair at the Pembury Community Centre in Hackney.
Our annual Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair, which was held on 7 March, attracted a huge turnout - the queue stretched right around the block. Over 1,200 people came through the doors for employment and training advice and to meet nearly 40 different employers with job vacancies or apprenticeship opportunities.
The incredibly successful event is in its fourth year and continues to attract prestigious employers including MTR Crossrail, London Fire Brigade, Whole Foods, Metro Bank and Bauer Media.

Stephen Burns, Peabody's Executive Director Care and Communities said: "The success of the event comes down to meeting the needs of the local community. The popularity of our annual jobs and apprenticeships fair has grown year on year and this time was no exception.
"Not only do people who come along get to meet some great employers, everyone who is registered to the event will be contacted by one of our expert employment advisors for one to one employment support. It’s a free service that is available to anyone in the community.”
