Supporting women in construction
We're proud to announce that we've become a member of Women into Construction (WIC), an independent not-for-profit organisation that promotes gender equality in construction.
Women into Construction provides support to women looking to work in the construction industry, helping organisations recruit and retain highly motivated, well-trained women – reducing skills gaps and improving diversity.
At Peabody we're working to make sure that equality, diversity and inclusion are firmly embedded across all of our work. Becoming a member of WIC will be an important element of this continuing work by improving diversity across our organisation - and in the sector - by increasing female representation among our employees.
Paula Heatley, Head of Quality and New Homes, said: "We're proud to support and partner with Women into Construction whose vision and values match our own when it comes to promoting diversity and gender equality in construction."
We've got over 150 years of experience and expertise. We strive to do things in a way that adds the most value for our residents and communities.
The Peabody Group owns and manages more than 66,000 homes across London and the South East. We also have 8,000 care and support customers.
Peabody runs an extensive number of community programmes which are open to all Londoners.
