Three of our development schemes have been shortlisted for the National Housing Awards 2018.

The Reach in Thamesmead, our 100% affordable development comprising 14 affordable rent and 52 Shared Ownership apartments, was shortlisted for Best large scheme in planning.

Designed by Pitman Tozer architects, The Reach sensitively complements the nearby architecture while using brick to create an interesting façade. The Reach is our first development in Thamesmead, where we plan to deliver thousands more homes.

Unity Works (above), another 100% affordable development at the centre of a vibrant redevelopment of Blackhorse Road near Waltham Forest, was shortlisted for Best small development. The development delivered 30 one, two and three-bedroom Shared Ownership apartments. Apartments in Unity Works were so sought after that the development sold out completely off-plan more than two months before it was completed.

Our marketing campaign, "Walk it, Work it, Live it" for Merchant’s Walk, our flagship regeneration scheme in Bow, was shortlisted for Best marketing campaign (mixed tenure). We delivered 413 new homes, including 118 affordable rent homes for local residents, on a disused site. The targeted marketing campaign helped us sell 95% of homes before completion, helping 240 first-time buyers on to the property ladder.

Debbie Coombs, Peabody's Director of Sales and Marketing, said:

"We're delighted that our innovative developments and excellent marketing campaigns have been shortlisted for these awards. It's testament to our ambitions to produce more high-quality affordable homes, that two of these developments are 100% affordable."
