Do something great and become an Ambassador!
Do you want to make your voice heard for young people?
Are you a Peabody or Family Mosaic resident in London and aged 14 – 25? If so, then we need you!
Join our Young Ambassadors programme and make things happen in your community. You can also develop a great range of experience that will provide a springboard for your future.
We’ll start training Young Ambassadors towards the end of October. The training will include:
- A personal development and team-building trip to Lambourne End Outdoor Centre in Essex, from 23-25 October (for free), and
- Masterclasses in being assertive, listening actively and representing the views of others, every Thursday 6pm-8.30pm, 2 November to 14 December in central London
Together, these training sessions will give you the basics to become a leader and you’ll also gain a Level 2 qualification in.
From January 2018, we’ll then give you the chance to join the Youth Board, start volunteering or run your own community project.
The Youth Board is an active group of 15 young volunteers aged 14 to 25 years old who believe that young people should have a voice and be part of the solution to issues that affect them. They work with Peabody senior management to provide consultation support on strategies and raise awareness on challenges facing young people in their communities.
We already have a group of Young Ambassadors who have become Peabody’s Youth Board or who are looking to organise projects in their area, so you will be joining a group of like-minded young people who want to bring change to their community.
