Our response to the London Bridge attack
Following the shocking attacks at London Bridge and Borough Market on 3 June, we have offered our sympathy and support to the people of Southwark and all those affected.
Southwark is home to much of the Peabody family, and has been for many years. Southwark's communities, neighbourhoods and streets; the neighbourhood police teams and officers; its shops, cafes and local businesses are familiar to many of our residents and colleagues and we consider the Council a special friend and partner.
Potters Field Park Vigil
The Mayor invited everyone to come together in solidarity at a vigil in Potters Fields Park on Monday 5 June.
Peabody laid flowers at the flagpoles at City Hall. The message read:
To all those who helped
0n 3rd June 2017, when London needed you most, you were there.
Your bravery in the face of barbarity has moved us all. From the police and the emergency services, to the residents, visitors and workers in the best city in the world.
On behalf of Peabody colleagues & communities
