Peabody resident wins Young Tenant of the Year
A huge congratulations to Danielle Frost, Peabody resident and employee, who won Young Tenant of the Year at the Tpas awards national final on Thursday 13 June.
The Tpas awards recognise the inspirational success stories of landlords, tenants and contractors working together to improve communities across England.
Danielle won thanks to the amazing work she does inspiring children and young people throughout her community. Young people on her estate didn’t have many extra-curricular activities or support and Danielle wanted to change that.
She organised voluntary weekly youth clubs for under-16s, established and coached a football team for local young people and supported the Peabody Youth Board, benefitting the lives of young people on her estate and across London.

Danielle, said: “It’s great to have won Tenant of the Year at the Tpas Awards. I started volunteering for two reasons; I love working with young people and I was in a really good position to provide other young people with more recreational activities like they had asked for.
I also took part in Peabody’s Young Leaders programme, Young Ambassadors programme and became a member of the Peabody Youth Board before starting a job with Peabody. They were great opportunities that helped me help others.”
Transitions project shortlisted
Our Transitions project, which aims to support young people at risk of homelessness, narrowly lost out on the national Excellence in Engagement in Supported Housing Award.
