Resident wins Hackney vote
Pembury resident and Peabody volunteer Emmanuel Akin has been elected to the Hackney Youth Parliament.
Emmanuel, 19, has been campaigning around Hackney over the summer and is one of 24 out of 43 candidates to be elected to represent young people in the borough.

Emmanuel said "I am honoured to be elected to represent Hackney in the Youth Parliament. Thank you to my family, friends, Peabody, and everyone who voted. This is a huge responsibility and I'm looking forward to working with the youth in Hackney and representing their views to the council."
Peabody Chief Executive Stephen Howlett said "Congratulations to Emmanuel on his election. I know from the passion he brings to his volunteering and youth work with Peabody that he will work tirelessly to represent the views of young people in Hackney."
