Reading for the Start, which is supported by VINCI Facilities and delivered in partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is an initiative in Hackney, Islington, Waltham Forest and Westminster which encourages families to share the magic of books and reading.
Children receive a book every month until their fifth birthday and families are invited to join fun family activities which include storytelling sessions, arts and crafts, and nursery rhyme singalongs.
The programme is now in its second year and has already touched the lives of more than 400 children and 320 parents.
