Peabody Christmas Carol service 2016

There was something for everyone at this year's service.

We were pleased to see so many of our residents at our carol service yesterday evening which was held in the beautiful setting of St Martin in the Fields in Trafalgar Square.

Carol-concert

The Peabody Choir, made up of Peabody staff volunteers, performed a variety of Christmas compositions, including 'See Amid the Winter’s Snow' and the 'Venezuelan Carol'. The old favourites, like 'Good King Wenceslas' and 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing', were there too, of course. There were also readings from employees, including poetry by Ann Gray and an extract from Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'.

Our Chief Excecutive Stephen Howlett, who will be retiring in the summer of 2017 after 42 years in housing, read the address.

All donations given at the service were passed to The Connection, St Martins' charity for the homeless.
