We asked Peabody employees to donate food and toys in November this year and, as a result, we've been able to feed 262 households - that's a total of 2,358 meals via seven foodbanks. 231 children also benefited from the toys that were donated.

A further 58 low-income Peabody family households will receive hampers in time for Christmas, and 173 toys have been donated to children in refuges over Christmas.

Tenant And Family Services Manager Danny Cordiner, who coordinated the collections, said the donations "...made a real difference to a lot of people who need it most. It has been inspiring to see so many engaged with helping others.

"George Peabody himself would be proud of us carrying on the philanthropic traditions that the organisation was founded on".

Wrapping up

Teams of Peabody 'elves' across London gave up their time to help wrap as many gifts as possible for our vulnerable residents.

We also had volunteers and contributions for our wrapping sessions from our partners - law firm Clifford Chance and suppliers T Brown, Axis and Lakehouse.

The Peabody elves went postal, helping to deliver the beautifully wrapped toys and well-packed hampers to our London residents in time for the holidays.
