Hark! The Peabody angels sing
'The Peabody choir was in fine voice for our carol service at St Martin-in-the-Fields.
Around 850 residents, employees and guests enjoyed our second ever Peabody carol service on 2 December in the beautiful surroundings of St Martin-in-the-Fields church in Trafalgar Square, London.
The Peabody choir, formed of 17 employees from all around the organisation, sang five festive songs, and was joined by the congregation for traditional carols.
Euphonia Concert Brass also performed and accompanied the singing.
Choir member Kim Ahmet, who works in Peabody's finance department, said: "I had an amazing time singing in the choir, and it made me feel proud and happy to be working for an organisation that brings us together in such a way."
Readings were given by our Chair, Lord Kerslake; Chief Executive Stephen Howlett; Sharon Barbour, Outreach Manager; Simon Cracknell, Mechanical Inspector; and Victor Longe, Neighbourhood Manager.
We also raised £1,287.46 for our three partner charities – Shelter, Winston’s Wish and Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.
