Peabody in the news

A £120m project near Clapham Junction moves a step closer to completion.

Designed by Hawkins/Brown architects, the development will provide 528 new homes (up from the existing 353) in a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments. There'll be 279 affordable (social rent and intermediate) homes, and 249 for private sale.

A ceremony at the St John’s Hill estate community centre marked the pouring of the last section of concrete on Phase 1, which will deliver 153 new homes.

The scheme will include 13,200 square meters of open space, a new public route from Clapham Junction station to Wandsworth Common, commercial space and a new community hub.

Jeremy Stibbe said: "This development will bring to life our vision for exemplar Peabody communities in the 21st century, by creating high quality affordable homes to rent and buy, where people will be proud to live, great open spaces, and facilities which will become an integral part of the wider community.”

St John’s Hill is one of four schemes we're delivering in Wandsworth, complementing our development pipeline of 8,000 new homes across London
