Something new is coming to Southwark...
An open-air bar and creative space launches at the planned site of our new head office.
Open Friday–Sunday each week, the venue will provide music, street food, art and performance.
There’s also an area where we’ll offer local residents free health and wellbeing activities such as Tai Chi.
We'll start preparing the site for our new head office within 18–24 months
A percentage of the profits will be set aside for us and ploughed back into our community programmes.
Supporting local communities
We’re working in partnership with the team behind Corsica Studios, a local independent arts and music organisation.
“The Paperworks aims to create visibility for the arts – working with local organisations to produce a high quality programme bringing focus and raising the profile of all the good things that already exist here in the area,” says Amanda Moss, Director of Corsica Studios and The Paperworks.
Cocktails and local craft beers are on the menu
“The site will be something that welcomes and generates warmth and a sense of neighbourliness,” says Martin O'Donnell, Peabody Community Development Manager.
“This will be hugely beneficial to both our proposed new development and the wider regeneration of Elephant and Castle.”
We run lots of exciting programmes and activities – the vast majority are free and open to everyone. Download the Peabody Community Foundation Annual Report, 2018 (pdf, 2mb) to learn more.
