Peabody delivers affordable homes to central London
Development of 21 homes in Fitzrovia
A residential development of Peabody affordable housing in the heart of London's West End was offically unveiled on Friday.
Lavington Mansions comprises 21 new affordable homes, including six for shared ownership, and forms part of The Crown Estate's £1bn investment in the Regent Street area.
The homes are in a prime central London location
Located in Ogle Street, Fitzrovia, a stone’s throw from Oxford Circus, the development is built on the site of a former school of nursing and uses natural Portland Stone from The Crown Estate’s Portland Estate in Dorset.
The Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Sarah Richardson, opened Lavington Mansions at 3pm; Crown Estate Chief Executive Alison Nimmo, Peabody Chair Chris Strickland and Peabody Chief Executive Stephen Howlett joined her as speakers at the event.
