Pembury’s Ready for School Project
Providing support for Pembury families.
In April 2017 we began a new project helping Pembury 4-year-olds make a successful start at school.
Peabody, in partnership with Linden Children’s Centre and Mossbourne Parkside Academy, work closely with Pembury families to ensure their children have a smooth transition into their reception year. A qualified teacher and Peabody’s parent advisor are present to offer parents advice on how to encourage learning as well as offering additional help for children with special educational needs.
The parent advisor is also enabling parents to access other services they need, and move into education, training, volunteering, or work.

We organise a range of activities for residents of all ages: from reading clubs for parents and young children, through to social events for older people.
