Who we are

Peabody has six Committees: Audit and Risk; Nominations and Remuneration; Finance and Treasury; Communities; Development; and Thamesmead.

Audit and Risk Committee

Meeting at least four times a year, the Committee's purpose is to oversee:  

  • Internal Audit
  • External Audit
  • Control and Risk Management

 


Nominations and Remuneration Committee

Meeting at least twice a year, the Committee's purpose is to:

  • Keep under review the composition of the Board and its committees
  • Make recommendations for Board appointments
  • Determine policy on staff and if appropriate Board remuneration
  • Oversee succession planning and  remuneration of the Executive Team
  • Promote effective governance across the Peabody Group

 


Finance and Treasury Committee

The Finance and Treasury Committee meets at least four times a year. The Committee's purpose is to:

  • Exercise delegated authority in relation to certain finance and treasury activities
  • Provide scrutiny and support concerning Peabody Group's treasury management policy and treasury strategy
  • Monitor financial performance, viability, efficiency and stability of the Peabody Group


Communities Committee

Meeting at least four times a year, the Committee’s purpose is to:

  • Exercise delegated authority in relation to strategic oversight of community investment and community development activities within the Group
  • Support Peabody’s strategic objective of encouraging thriving communities
  • Monitor the performance of the Group’s community activities, including direct impact on beneficiaries and on wider communities;
  • Make recommendations to the Peabody Board in relation to major proposals;
  • Monitor internal controls and matters with significant implications for the beneficiaries of the Group’s community work


Development Committee

Meeting at least six times a year the Committee's purpose is to:

  • Make some decisions on behalf of the Peabody Board in relation to certain development and commercial activities
  • Advise the Peabody Group on major proposals relating to property and land transactions
  • Monitor and review development and sales activities on behalf of the Group
