Welfare benefit advice

Many people miss out on benefits because they don't know what they are entitled to. We can provide free, confidential advice and a guide through the complex and often confusing benefits maze.

If you answer yes to any of the following, then you might be eligible for benefits or tax credits to boost your income:

  • are you on a low income (even if you are working)?
  • do you have children under 19?
  • do you have an illness or a disability?
  • do you care for someone with an illness or a disability?
  • are you pregnant?
  • are you over 60?

For advice on claiming benefits, you can also contact our welfare benefits advice service, tel: (020) 7021 4888.

Peabody's tenant support team offers a floating support service to tenants in general needs accommodation, who are at risk of losing their tenancies or who need extra support to manage their tenancies successfully. They also offer advice and information about support services that Peabody and other agencies can offer through the tenant support advice line.

Employment advice and training support is also available from the neighbourhood learning centres.
