Access

As your landlord, we have the right to come into your home in certain circumstances, such as to carry out inspections, make repairs or deal with an emergency. We will always try to give you at least 24 hours notice although in an emergency this may not be possible.

In an emergency, we have the right to make a forced entry if you are not at home and we do not have a contact number for you. We will only do this if there is no other choice and we will always try to ensure that the property is left safe and secure.

Once a year we must by law carry out a gas safety check on the gas supply and appliances in your home. We might also need access to your property to carry out pest control treatment in your home or elsewhere in the building.

All of this work is essential for your safety and that of your neighbours. If you do not allow our staff or contractors access we might take legal action to enter your home and you will be charged the cost of doing this.
