Sound improvements
'Sound' is Peabody's programme of repairs and redecoration to the external fabric and internal communal areas of our properties. This includes planned maintenance work, major repairs and replacement of roofs, windows and doors where necessary.
Sound began in 2006 and it is anticipated that all our properties will have some work carried out in the seven years of the programme.
Residents are informed in advance about the plans and on most estates there will be a briefing session before work begins.
For communal areas, residents are asked to choose their preferred colour for walls and doors, and the most popular choice is selected.
Contractors will usually need access to homes, particularly where windows are being replaced or refurbished. They will contact individual residents to make arrangements.
