Query rent and service charge
If you are unhappy with the level of your rent and service charge then please follow the procedures below.
Step one
Social tenant
If you are a social tenant, please contact the rent and service charge team.
Please note: secure tenants should check that you have not received a Rent Registration Letter, as this is not a rent increase.
Open market and keyworker tenants
If you are an open market tenant or a keyworker tenant, please contact the shorthold team.
Homeowner
If you are a homeowner, please contact the leasehold team.
Step two
If you are still not satisfied, then you have the legal right to pursue your claim with either of these two independent bodies
Social tenant
If you are a tenant (social, open market or keyworker), you can appeal to the rent assessment committee (RAC).
Homeowners
If you are a homeowner, your next available avenue is to appeal to the
leasehold valuation tribunal (LVT).
