Gas and electricity companies offer help for customers who struggle to afford their gas and electric bills. You may qualify for cheaper rates or free extra services if you or someone in your household is:

• Receiving benefits or on a low income
• Over the age of 60
• Disabled or has a long-term health issue

Each energy company has its own scheme, so you’ll need to get in touch with them to find out exactly what’s on offer.
