We understand that people can get into financial problems and have difficulties paying their rent. We can offer confidential advice on managing debt and help you come to an arrangement to pay off any arrears

If you cannot pay your rent for any reason it is very important that you contact Peabody straight away. You should not ignore us if we write to you about your rent. We would always rather help you sort out the problem than let it get worse. The sooner you talk to us, the more help we can offer.

The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) is a registered charity that provides free, impartial and confidential debt advice both online and by phone. It’s known and respected by creditors across the UK and handles an average of 40,000 calls a month.

You can contact the CCCS for realistic advice about debt between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, on 0800 138 1111. After giving some initial details, you can make an appointment for a counsellor to call you back for an in-depth interview. The CCCS can offer a range of support and advice – from debt management plans and guided self-help packs to help with claiming benefits.
