Pembury centre

Located in Dalston, Hackney, the Pembury centre offers skills development, training and advice for job seekers. The centre’s staff are experienced in delivering support and training to help people who are looking for a job, wanting to gain new qualifications or just expanding their life skills.

Our services
The range of support on offer at the centre includes help with CVs, interview workshops, and literacy and numeracy qualifications (up to level 2). There is also a dedicated job support service with links to agencies, Jobcentre Plus and local employers.

Pembury delivers a number of funded employment training and support programmes. The format of the courses combines tutor-led study and arranged drop-in sessions, where people can study at their own pace. All of our courses are accredited and the qualifications we offer are nationally recognised.

Learndirect
As an approved Learndirect centre, Pembury aims to provide local residents – both those in work and unemployed – with the opportunity to develop their literacy and numeracy skills and gain a qualification at level 1 or 2. (To be eligible for Learndirect, you must have been resident in the UK for over three years.)
