Hackney Council is encouraging young residents aged 13-21 who can dance, sing, act, rap, tap, juggle or get a laugh to audition for the Alter Ego finals at the Hackney Empire on 14 January 2012.
The best acts will then be invited to take part in the showcase finals on 3 February 2012.

Discover Young Hackney promotes participation and training in the arts for young people through a range of taster sessions and workshops run by creative professionals in music, dance, radio, art, literature, photography, design, singing, film and theatre.
The Discover Young Hackney Festival runs from 3 February 2012 to 28 February 2012.
