Environmental concerns will motivate both young and older members of the community to form stronger bonds when Peabody's Willow Tree Lane Estate in Yeading ''goes potty'' on Saturday 3 May, from 11.30am-2pm.
More than 80 Peabody residents and staff, local councillors and police will use their green thumbs to pot 600 plants in a combined effort to make the Hillingdon estate greener.
Then, after a day full of sustainable fun, each participant will take home their potted plant for a period of two months. Come July and the decision will be made as to who has looked after their plant the best. Prizes will be awarded to three different age groups - one to five years (parental help allowed), five to 16 years, and 16 years plus.
The event has been organised by the Resident's Association on the estate, as a follow-up to last year's successful turnout.
