Peabody has been awarded the Housing Bronze Footprint, part of the RSPCA Community Animal Welfare Footprints 2010 (CAWF) in recognition of our Pets Policy and approach to tackling nuisance caused by pets on our estates. This recognises Peabody as a leader in the housing sector for our approach to pets.
The RSPCA stated: "Peabody introduced a new Pets Policy that included practical information on legal and regulatory powers for tackling nuisance pets, hoarding and stray dogs. With assistance from the RSPCA Peabody now has a consistent policy and are looking at further improvements including pet healthcare and registration schemes."

Pets win prizes: the RSPCA has awarded Peabody a Housing Bronze Footprint
We at Peabody consulted our Customer Panel when we revised our policy and this award recognises the improvements we have made through introducing guidance on chipping and tagging dogs, having clearer guidance on dangerous dogs and enforcing legal action against owners of nuisance dogs. We will be applying for the application pack for 2011 and will be aiming to achieve a Silver or Gold award next year!
