We wish to announce the winner of the 2011 Victoria Park Front Garden Contest is…Mr C Hansell. He collects the Peabody Plate and £30 of vouchers.
Judged by a Royal Horticultural Society assessor, the contest covers all of the former Crown Estate properties at Victoria Park in East London.
Mr Hansell is a long-standing resident of Bonner Road, Bethnal Green, London. He is pictured above, receiving his prize from Estates manager Nick Hart (right).
Mr Hansell said he took great pleasure in winning the prize for a garden he tends as a hobby and for his own enjoyment.
