Peabody's new decorating and handyperson service, Home Solutions, aims to provide residents with a convenient, value for money option for small jobs around the home.
Run from Darwin Court, the initiative started as a service for Southwark-based residents, but has already been extended to cover Peabody homes across the whole of London. The service is also available to non-residents, although Peabody homes receive a discounted rate.
Improvements, adaptations and small repairs
From putting up shelves to fitting new taps, the team can help with a wide range of improvements, adaptations and small repairs around the home. Its trained decorators can take care of interior painting, wallpapering and small areas of plastering, as well as preparation tasks like sanding and wallpaper stripping.
Special rates for residents
The Home Solutions handyperson service costs £30 plus VAT per hour and decorating is priced from £200 per room, with discounts for those receiving benefits.
