Young people from our Willow Tree Lane estate received a week’s worth of Premier League football coaching, thanks to Peabody’s link-up with the QPR in the Community Trust scheme.
Coaches from the West London club ran sessions during the recent half-term, for 11-14 year-olds.

Around 15 attended each day, learning technical aspects of the game before putting their knowledge into practice in a series of games and mini-tournaments.
Alison Muir, Head of Neigbourhood Services at Peabody, said she was delighted with the success of the training sessions.
“It was a positive way in engaging young people and tackling some of the anti-social issues that arise on the estate.
"Peabody will continue to support and work with residents and local partners to realise improvements in the community."

The initiative was covered by the Uxbridge and West Drayton Gazette – read the full article here.
