Ministry of sound

Peabody is supporting the M.A.D (Making A Difference) youth festival at the Ministry of Sound this Wednesday, 25 August. 

The event, which is open from 12 noon to 6pm, is aimed at young people aged between 11 to 19. Its goal is to raise young people’s aspirations, promote their independence and celebrate their achievements and will feature performances from top artists including:

  • The Marvel Boys;
  • Princess Nyah; and
  • Devlin.

There will also be workshops on fashion, music, journalism, health, well-being, streetdance and Capoeira (a form of martial arts and dance) and stalls offering advice on youth training, education and employment.

The event is being led by Viridian Housing in partnership with L&Q, Wandle, Croydon Churches, Amicus Horizon, Hexagon, Hyde plus, Family Mosaic, Peabody, SouthwarK Police and Asda.
