Go On Give an Hour

28 October 2011

The end of British Summer Time has given us an extra hour. If you’re wondering how to fill that extra time, why not Go On Give an Hour and show someone how to use the Internet?

Go ON large

Go On Give an Hour is a national campaign, encouraging everyone to give one hour to someone they know, someone who is one of the 8.7 million people in the UK who have never been online.

We gain the hour at 2am but you have the duration of Get Online Week (30 October to 6 November) to play your part in the campaign.

We at Peabody are supporting Go On Give an Hour with a range of events and activities at our community and learning centres.

Learning centres

You can find a list of our learning centres here. We now also have a learning centre at Clapham:

The Clapham Centre
Flat 1A Peabody Estate
St. John's Hill, Clapham
London
SW11 1TY
Tel: 020 7924 2594

Community centres

Please contact Duncan Clelland on 0207 021 4279 or Martin O'Donnell on 0207 021 4607 to find out how we are supporting Go On Give an hour at our community centres.

Even if you don’t know somebody who could benefit, you can register your interest and be matched up with someone wanting to go online.

You can pledge your hour and find out more information here.

We will be launching several new projects on our estates through our Net Worx programme. These will include a series of events and activities, each designed to tackle digital exclusion and will tie in with Race Online, the national campaign headed by lastminute.com founder and Government Digital Champion Martha Lane Fox.
