Osborne, one of the UK’s leading construction and property services companies, took over Peabody’s repairs service in May.
It doesn’t stop there, however. We want you, our residents, to continue to let us know how things are progressing and whether you are happy with the changes we’ve introduced. As a first step, we’ve developed a strategy to allow residents to give us ongoing feedback about repairs and maintenance. You can read the full strategy here (Word, 122 KB)

Get involved: why not give us feedback about our services?
We’ve already established that Peabody’s Resident Review Committee (RRC) will monitor work against key performance indicators to ensure that Osborne is meeting its targets. It will also review feedback coming from other formal resident groups, including the Tenants Liaison Committee, resident associations, regional forums and our diversity forum.
These groups will also tell us how other contractors are performing, including those responsible for lift and gas servicing, Decent Homes standards and SOUND (external repairs, including windows and roofs). However, we’d like to get other residents involved, people who are not part of these groups. We are therefore looking to recruit volunteers who would like to become:
- Resident Repairs Inspectors, who will act as the eyes and ears of the RRC. They will inspect services using a variety of methods including mystery shopping, carrying out surveys and job shadowing. [Date for your diary: there will be an information session for new recruits on Tuesday, 10 August at Peabody head office.]
- Estate monitors, who will check that communal repairs have been carried out and report back to Peabody (and the RRC).
- Members of the Contract Core Group, which will meet regularly with contractors and senior Peabody staff to check service levels and performance.
Anyone who wants to take up these roles will get full support and training.
So, if you’d like to get involved and have a genuine interest in helping us to continue to improve our services to you, please contact Dan Thomas (telephone: 020 7021 4549 dan.thomas@peabody.org.uk) by Tuesday, 3 August, who will be able to tell you more. Please note that your time commitment will depend on what you choose to do.
