Free firefighting course for 13-17 year-olds

We've linked up with the London Fire Brigade to offer the Local Intervention Fire Education (LIFE) programme: an intensive five-day course, open to those aged 13-17 who live on our Pembury estate in Hackney.
  
Participants will be taught by firefighters:Group of participants and firefighters together

  • how to use ladders

  • casualty rescue techniques

  • how to use breathing equipment

  • first-aid equipment

  • many aspects of fire safety and fire prevention

The course runs 8-12 October 2012.
