Fire safety conference attracts over 100 delegates

08 December 2010

Peabody joined forces with the London Fire Brigade to host a conference at the LFB Southwark Training Centre on the 23 November 2010. 'Social Housing and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order – Exploring Solutions to Comply' was a free one-day event for the capital’s social housing providers, the first of its kind in London.

The conference brought together speakers and delegates from the London Fire Brigade, Peabody and other providers of social housing, offering a broad perspective within which to explore the challenges posed by the Fire Safety Order for London’s social housing sector. The conference was a huge success with over 100 hundred delegates attending.

Speakers included Noel Brosnan (Asset Director of Octavia), David Biggerstaff, (partner in the law firm Trowers & Hamlins), Liz Bartlett (London Councils), and representatives of the London Fire Brigade and Peabody. Also present were representatives from the Housing Federation, Inside Housing and the Fire Protection Association.

You’ll find copies of the presentations given at the conference below.
