Diversity Forum annual general meeting (AGM)

03 September 2008

The Diversity Forum AGM 2008 will take place on Saturday 20 September between 10am and 1pm, at the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, London SE1 6HZ.

Its role is to influence how Peabody practices equality and diversity in the delivery of services, and to influence, review and sign off policy.

The day will include:

  • a review of the Forum's successes and achievements
  • overview of diversity at Peabody
  • election of the new committee
  • a children's workshop (over-8s only)
  • a talk and tour of the museum's Windrush Exhibition
  • raffle
  • lunch and the opportunity to meet other residents

The Windrush exhibition marks the 60th anniversary of the arrival of the MV Empire Windrush in Britain 1948, and relates the personal stories of black men and women from the Caribbean and Britain in WW1 and WW2. Children can take part in a workshop to make a piece of artwork connected to the exhibition, which they can take home with them at the end of the day.

Places are limited, so to book your place please contact Amanda Ghekis on 0207 021 4270 or email ris@peabody.org.uk by 12 September.
