Cookery classes in Walworth

05 September 2012

Fitzroy Morgan, an executive chef for many years, has cooked for Princess Diana, Telly Savalas, Derek Nimmo, Richard Branson and many other film stars and celebrities.

Brought up in Jamaica, Fitzroy learnt about the properties and benefits of hundreds plants, roots and herbs from his grandmother, who passed on her knowledge to him through their daily diet.

Raw ingredients: tomato, peppers, carrots, aubergines

Now he's coming to Peabody, for an afternoon of cookery classes as part of his Eat Yourself Healthy programme. He'll share some of his recipes, showing you how easy it is to produce delicious and nutritious food.

"We believe healthy eating is not just about following strict nutrition philosophies, staying thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love," says Fitzroy.

Plate of rice and vegetables

"Rather it is about feeling great, having more energy, and keeping yourself as healthy as possible
all of which can be achieved by learning to recognise some of the nutritional  basics and key food groups and being able to use them in a way that works for you."
