Peabody and Osborne agree to bring contract to a close
For the last two years Peabody and Osborne have worked closely with the sole aim of achieving a first-class responsive repairs service. We are pleased that Osborne have contributed to many objectives that have been achieved.
It was agreed by mutual consent to end our agreement as it has become clear over time that the existing arrangements would not deliver what both parties require.
To ensure there is a smooth transition to a new responsive repairs contractor, Osborne will continue to provide their service until autumn 2012.
Executive Director Sandra Skeete said: "We know this is disappointing news for everyone who has worked hard to deliver this service over the past two years. At Peabody, our next step is to select another responsive repairs contractor who can build on the improvements that have been achieved, while also ensuring our customers continue to receive a high quality service."
Managing Director of Osborne's Property Services team
Nick Sterling has given his assurances that teams will remain focused and continue to deliver the responsive repairs and voids service until the autumn, thereby minimising the impact to Peabody customers.
Residents will still play a key part in the selection and monitoring of our responsive repairs services.
Further information about this will be reported in the spring issue of our residents' magazine, Engage.
